Los orígenes del Centro Cultural Recreativo de Cabral se encuentran en una rondalla denominada Rondalla Club Amigos de Becerreira ya que sus promotores en un momento determinado se plantearon la necesidad de disponer de unas instalaciones fijas con el fin de dinamizar la actividad cultural en la zona. En 1991 se inaugura el nuevo local, siendo el actual C.C. R Cabral.
En la actualidad cuenta con más de 550 socios y aparte de las numerosísimas actividades que desarollamos a lo largo del año, fundamentalmente cursos, celebramos diez grandes acontecimientos:

El más destacado de ellos, por su repercusión en toda la ciudad es la Romería de Pan de Millo, que tiene lugar el último domingo de Agosto y se ha convertido ya en una de las grandes celebraciones festivas de Vigo.
Los orígenes de este Centro Cultural hay que buscarlos en la citada rondalla, vencedora durante tres años (1988, 1989, 1991) del concurso de rondallas y ranchos de Reis organizado por el Concello.
En sus primeros tiempos y por no disponer de local social los actos eran celebrados en el palco del atrio de Santa Marina, Becerreira. En esos primeros años los actos más relevantas eran el Festival Folclórico Internacional, las fiestas del carnaval y la propia cabalgata de reyes, que se desarrollaba en colaboración con las AA.VV del Caeiro y Parada- Maceiriña, así como la junta parroquial, y practicamente recorría toda la parroquia repartiendo ilusión entre los más pequeños.
El salón de actos del colegio se destinaba a los conciertos de corales, el festival folclórico y los que desarrollaban con motivo de las letras gallegas.También hubo desde el primer momento una clara vocación de promoción cultural escenificando obras de teatro.
Entre los numerosos grupos participantes en el festival folclórico están Dinamarca, Portugal, Rusia, Checoslovaquia, Hungria, Asturias etc.
Al ir creciendo la sociedad la junta gestora comenzó a plantear en el concello la necesidad de contar con una sede adecuada a la importancia de las actividades y surgió un acuerdo en la corporación de 1988, bajo la presidencia de Alberto Iglesias. Solo unos meses más tarde se ofrecía el concello la posibilidad de adquirir un terreno de unos 2000 m cuadrados, a 2500 pesetas el metro cuadrado. Con la propiedad del terreno se iniciaron las obras.
Su inauguración tuvo lugar el 9 de Mayo de 1991 en un acto solemne que contó con la presencia de una amplia representación municipal, participando la banda municipal de música y la escuela de gaitas de la propia sociedad.
Esa inauguración marcó el inicio de un amplísimo calendario de actividades que se fueron sucediendo practicamente a lo largo de todos los meses.
