La vocalía de la mujer nació en 1993 bajo la dirección de Marina Giráldez con la voluntad de acercar a las mujeres a la realidad parroquial siendo sus primeros actos cursos subvencionados por el Concello, programando excursiones exclusivamente para mujeres y con el tiempo se fueron ampliando los cursos subvencionado por el propio centro culural, como agricultura, cestería, arte floral, pintura en tela, pilates, gimnasia, baile latino o labores.
Con motivo de cada fin de curso se hace una exposición de los trabajos realizados.
Tras haber estado al frente de la Vocalía Carmen González, su actual presidenta es Pilar Lago.
